Be a Facebook Page Genius!

Do you already have a Facebook account? If none, magmadali ka and open an account kasi ikaw na lang ang iniintay namin dito sa Work From Home Pinoy Ako. :)
My second question is, do you already have a Facebook page? If none, then it's ok because not everybody has it. Even your Work From Home Pinoy Ako website had just created its Facebook page recently called Work In Your Pajamas. But, If you already have one then congratulations! I'll give you a big clap... Clap! Clap! Clap!
Ano ba ang Facebook page? What does it do or what can it do for you as karaniwang tao who only have a personal account where you share your personal experiences, events in your lives, pictures with your loved ones and friends, pictures of your favorite food, movies, TV shows, and hobbies?
But what if you have a passion, yung gustong gusto mong gawin or yung hobbies or talent mo na you want to share to other people aside from your friends found in your personal Facebook account? Or if you have that entrepreneur's mindset, what if you want to sell something in Facebook like yung designer bags (na madalas kong makita sa Facebook na binebenta), shoes, toys, yung novelty cakes na mahilig mong i-bake for your family, relatives, and friends?
I think you are getting what a Facebook page is and what it is for. Actually, Work From Home Pinoy Ako, your online school, checked out Mareng Julia Campbell of business2community.com and she said that there are 3 advantages in using a Facebook Page: Exposure, (Good) Karma, and Relationships. In summary, if you do it right, you can get a lot of fans to talk about your Facebook page by keeping them engaged. Because of this, the good karma (lots of likes, comments, and shares) will just happen because of the kind of service you are giving them (your fans). This way, your relationship with your fans will grow deeper and their loyalty will last for a long time.
However, before making a Facebook page, there is one secret ingredient that you must use according to Jomar Hilario, the Filipino expert in online marketing. Atin atin lang ito ha?
Ready? Before you were born, I'm sure pinagisipan mabuti ng parents mo kung ano ipapangalan syo. Siguro they made a very long list of probable baby names to name you.
Wala pang Google noon so most probably they searched by asking their relatives and friends, looked for Christian names in the Bible like Elijah, Elisha, Jeremiah, Jesus, Maria, Joseph. Maybe some even considered names from a car brand/model like Mercedes, Toyota, or Celica. Months of the year like April, May, June, or July. Some were even more creative  as they combined their names like Junmar, from Jun and Marites, Maron for Mart and Sharon, etc.
I'm very sure that what they named you, they thought of that very carefully because they wanted your name to be LIKEABLE.
You are so precious to them that's why they named you with the most nicest and most likeable name. So before creating a Facebook page, think of a likeable name, as if it will be your own child.
So if you're planning to create a Facebook page, I hope this tutorial from Work From Home Pinoy Ako will guide you through the basics.

Now that you know how to create a Facebook page, you can start making a fan page and market your product when it's time to sell. If you are a work from home virtual assistant, then you can impress your client by creating a Facebook page the right way. If you are already a virtual assistant, this can be an additional knowledge for you.

Epic Information! Watch It, Practice It, And Do It Again!

Did you start to get organized after reading my blog here in Work From Home Pinoy Ako regarding the Evernote tutorial? Wow ang bilis naman ano? Or have you tried to use Evernote?

It's really a challenge to become a person who is organized. It really takes a lot of practice, discipline and commitment to make this happen. Just like what we are doing here in your online school, Work From Home Pinoy Ako.  I have here both a PDF tutorial and a video tutorial regarding one particular app so that you will become familiar with that app. I also recommend to keep on practicing so that you will get used to it. Just like when I was starting to learn on how to play the guitar.

This is me, playing the guitar.
When I started playing the guitar, I had to know how to read the chords, how to do it with my left hand, and also how to do strumming with my right. After learning how to do these, I kept on practicing hanggang sa magkakalyo na yung mga daliri ko in my left hand.

I also asked my friends, who were good at playing the guitar, about some tips and techniques so that I will learn more and I will also know if I'm doing it properly.

After I learned the basic chords and I was able to strum with ease, I was now able to play the songs sa song hits na binibili namin sa palengke or sa may news stand. Remember also that it was not smooth all the way. Syempre there were challenges Iike, I should not always look at my left hand when I need to change chords. Sometimes when I strum, the pick does not always hit the strings. When I was already confident, I can now play with my barkada during our get together. I also joined the choir sa kapilyang sinisimbahan ko and I was assigned as the backup guitar player, in case mag-absent yung gitarista.

As you can see, whether you want to change something in you or you want to learn something, like the different app tutorials here, you should always practice, try out different ways to learn, and have the discipline to do it.

To give more information about the Evernote app, Work From Home Pinoy Ako will present a video done by Anson Alexander. Anson’s YouTube Channel, featuring tutorials and tech updates, has really gained popularity as well and now has over 10,000 subscribers and has received nearly 2 million views!

He has also launched the AnsonAlex Services Page which offers freelance and contract services to those looking to improve their online presence or increase communications within their organization.

You can also check out his website at AnsonAlex.com as he provides insightful information on what is happening in the technological world, tutorials on certain programs and cloud-based services and information on how to improve your life, stay healthy and continue to grow as a person in the 21st century.
And here it is in your online school, Work From Home Pinoy Ako, the Evernote video tutorial.

I hope you picked up a thing or two from Anson Alexander's Evernote video tutorial. Keep on practicing!

What other note taking, organizing app do you know? Please write in the comments below.

Do The Right Thing: Plan And Organize Today.

Do The Right Thing: Plan And Organize Today.

Being a person who has good planning and is well organized are nice qualities to have because these help manage your stress levels as you know what you are supposed to do on a particular day or the coming week or so.

I used to buy those black organizer or planners in National Bookstore or Goodwill Bookstore in Glorieta when I was in college. I always wrote what I was going to do at least for the week, ano yung mga assignments, and what subjects ang may tests or what lessons that I will study so that I will be prepared.

I also bought those small note pads with different colors called Post-It. I usually used it for additional notes or wrote things that were important. Also at the top of each page, I wrote the birthdays of friends and relatives so that I won't forget their special days and I will always have a chance to greet them.

By already having a list of what to do for the coming days, not only will I be prepared, I also lessen my tendency to cram. At least nababawasan ang cramming kasi it is really very stressful di ba specially when the deadline for a project is very near already tapos may exams ka pa.

Pero tao lang din naman ako and sometimes I did not follow what was written in my planner especially kung maganda ang palabas sa T.V., may laro yung favorite basketball team ko or kung may gimik on weekends. Sometime nakakalimutan ko din i-greet ang mga friends and relatives ko on their birthdays.

One big challenge though  was when I misplaced my organizer or planner (and one time nawala talaga), because all valuable notes, plans, birthdays, including my contact numbers will also be lost (hindi pa uso mag-cellphone noon to keep all the contact numbers).

Hindi rin kasi uso mag-backup noon lalo naman sa mga sinusulat mo sa organizer. Parang weird din when you have two organizers and every time you write on your original planner, you will also write on your backup organizer (LOL)! Parang we only did backup noon during our computer class. Backup the documents, research papers, software programs, etc. that you have sa floppy disk pa noon.

When I was already working, I did the same with my organizing skills. This time I did not buy the organizers, I got them from the vendors who gave yearly planners during Christmas. Sometimes naman I got one from my father who also had so many organizers during the Christmas season.  Because of this, I became more productive at work as I already know what I'm supposed to do for the day until he coming week and therefore I accomplished a lot of tasks.

How I wish Evernote was already invented in the 90's together with the smartphones as I could have accessed my notes, plans, anywhere especially when my very reliable organizer gets misplaced or lost.

So what is Evernote? Sabi ni Mang Wiki, Evernote is a suite of software and services, designed for note-taking and archiving. A "note" can be a piece of formatted text, a full webpage or webpage excerpt, a photograph, a voice memo, or a handwritten "ink" note. Notes can also have file attachments. Notes can be sorted into folders, then tagged, annotated, edited, given comments, searched and exported as part of a notebook.

To really understand what I'm saying about Evernote here in Work From Home Pinoy Ako, your online school, please check out the tutorial below.

So for students out there, example you have a team project, you can use the software app Evernote to list all the plans that you have for your project then share each note instantly to your team members wherever they are. I guess many of the students right now has a smartphone, a laptop or a PC at home or might have access to PCs in school or even in internet cafes.

For office workers, same thing, you can bring your smartphone, laptop in a meeting and take important notes in Evernote. You can then share this to your team by sending an email to them using your Evernote email account. This way, you still have your master copy saved in Evernote and if there are action items to do, you can track it wherever you are and never get lost again if your laptop crashes and no backups where done as you can retrieve your Evernote data in your office's PC or when you soon have your laptop fixed.

For future virtual assistants or learning virtual assistants, you can use Evernote by storing content ideas to your client's blog like headlines to use, keywords to consider, the structure of your story through outlines, images that you will use, snapshot of a web site that can contribute to your content and even consolidating itineraries of your client. This will make your planning more efficient and will definitely help you become more organized.

Do you know any other software app that lets you access your notes anytime, anywhere? Please use the comment box below.

Stimulate Your Brain In Eight Minutes

Do you remember the other popular robot na halos kasabayan ni Voltes V noon? Well, this question is only for those na kaedad ko. Hehehe. If sikat si Voltes V noon, there was another robot na kilala din and it was Mazinger Z.

Like any popular cartoon or anime program, there will always be a rival show. By the way, not only in shows di ba, I think most of the products may competition talaga.

But here in Work From Home Pinoy Ako, as you have noticed already in Bitly, I have also featured its rival, Tinyurl, so that you will learn more apps or alternative apps with the same functions.

The rival or the alternative app for Roboform that will be presented here in your online school, Work From Home Pinoy Ako is LastPass. According to Mang Wiki, LastPass is a freemium password management service which seeks to resolve the password fatigue problem by centralising user password management in the cloud.

This LastPass video tutorial was taken from YouTube and was presented by Evan Carmichael. Evan Carmichael believes in entrepreneurs. At 19, he built then sold a biotech software company. At 22, he was a VC helping raise $500k to $15mil. He now runs EvanCarmichael.com, a popular website for entrepreneurs. He breathes and bleeds entrepreneurship.

He also helps brands that sell to small business like Telus and American Express who are frustrated with their online marketing build communities with massive engagement. He guarantees at least 5,000 people to your site with each post that his team will create. Some of the brands he's worked with include: Telus, Microsoft, Google, Blackberry, Trump, etc.

And now, here's the LastPass video tutorial presented to you by your online school, Work From Home Pinoy Ako:

Yes, another online learning from Work From Home Pinoy Ako and "You should always be equipped" is the advise that I can give to new virtual assistants and long time virtual assistants as well. I think it won't hurt having to learn another app that memorizes your usernames and passwords.

Do you know another app that keeps and remembers your usernames and passwords just like Roboform and LastPass? Please write in the comments below.

Smart Way To Make Your Learning Go Twice As Far

Do you know Voltes V? Noong bata pa ako, there are only one or two robots that i know and one was Voltes V. Voltes V was made up of 5 separate volt machines operated by Steve, Big Bert, Little John, Jaime, and Mark.

Gustong gusto kong part was when a Beast Fighter, created by the Boazanians, will attack and fight the Voltes team. Kapag hindi na kaya ng mga bida, the five volt machines will go into a V formation and the team will say... "Let's volt in!"

Kasabay ng background music was the step by step connection and transformation of the five vehicles into one big robot called, Voltes V. Wow ang galing!

Fast forward to the present day. Today there are many robots that I know already, Transformers pa lang ang dami na. But there's this robot in the internet na magtra-transform sa day to day internet activities mo, and this is the Roboform app.

And yes, you will learn it here in your online school, Work From Home Pinoy Ako this time in a form of a video tutorial. This will slowly transform you into an efficient virtual assistant, especially if you are still starting. If you are already a virtual assistant, this video will just review you on how Roboform app is used. If you are not using Roboform, then all of a sudden your client wants to use this nice app to remember his/her usernames and passwords, then this video tutorial is also for you.

Do This And You No Longer Have To Memorize A Lot Of Usernames And Passwords

Do this and you no longer have to memorize a lot of usernames and passwords

Are you tired of typing your username, password and most of all remembering them every time you log in to so many applications (apps) in the internet such as your emails (like Gmail, Yahoo Mail, Hotmai, etc.l), social media networks (like Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, and Linkedin), and your various accounts for online banking, online shopping, memberships and affiliations to airline companies, hotels, shops, restaurants, and so much more! Kailangan pa bang imemorize yan? Ang dami-dami di ba?

Naalala ko noong araw, ang password lang na dapat mong imemorize ay "open sesame" para bumukas ang pintuan kapag ayaw buksan ng kalaro mo ang pinto. Hehehe...

And then when I was already in high school, the only password that I have to memorize was the one we use in our computer subject, password123 pa ata yon, hahaha... Hindi pa uso ang strong passwords noon, noong panahon pa ng Wordstar at Lotus 123. But the most important things that we memorized in high school were the formulas in algebra, physics, geometry, and trigonometry (yay!). Pagdating ng college, calculus naman, tapos electronics, communications, electromagnetics, thermodynamics, at yung mga pang engineering subjects na hanggang ngayon ay hindi ko naman nagamit even if I worked as a telecommunications engineer.

I also remember when I was applying for a job back then, after I finished typing my resume, I printed lots of copies and then went to the different corporate offices in Makati and in Ortigas like Globe Telecom, Smart Communications, PLDT,  IBM, Digitel, Philcom, etc.

Just like here in Australia, almost all of the establishments and offices here, accepts online applications and it is already a standard.

Today, we are very lucky that there's this app that will help us with the problem of memorizing a lot of usernames and passwords. This app is called Roboform and you will learn it here in your online school, Work From Home Pinoy Ako.

You might ask, why not just activate the Remember my password option? Yes it will help but this usually expires in 2 weeks or in a month. The more vulnerable you are to forgetting your password because you are not used to manually typing your password and then suddenly, when the "remember your password" expires, need to manually key in your password. Gets? Not only that Roboform stores your password, when you click the saved username and password of a particular site that is stored in Roboform, it will bring you to the website and signs you in automatically.

Another great feature of Roboform is to autofill a web form such as your personal information and identification details in membership forms, job applications, etc. This will save you lots of time. All you need to do is to pre-fill all information in Roboform such as your first name, surname, date of birth, home address, home telephone number, mobile phone number, email address, passport number, driver's license number, etc. so when you need to fill up a form with all your personal details, you can do this in a few clicks using Roboform.

So What is Roboform Mang Wiki? Roboform is a password management and web form filling program that automates password entering and form filling. And without further a do, here is the tutorial for How To Use Roboform here in Work From Home Pinoy ako:

I hope may natutunan kayo today dito sa online school mo and if you are a virtual assistant tapos your client starts to give you their own usernames and passwords, it means that you have gained their trust and confidence.

For sure, you will be maintaining lots and lots of their usernames and passwords. So, are you still going to write it on your notebook or type it in Word or Excel? Maybe for backup purposes. But you can impress your client by using Roboform, it's wise to use it as it saves a lot of your time and makes you an efficient, reliable, and organized virtual assistant.

Do you know any other applications that also remembers usernames and passwords and auto fills forms as well? Please use the comment box below.
