Like any popular cartoon or anime program, there will always be a rival show. By the way, not only in shows di ba, I think most of the products may competition talaga.

But here in Work From Home Pinoy Ako, as you have noticed already in Bitly, I have also featured its rival, Tinyurl, so that you will learn more apps or alternative apps with the same functions.

The rival or the alternative app for Roboform that will be presented here in your online school, Work From Home Pinoy Ako is LastPass. According to Mang Wiki, LastPass is a freemium password management service which seeks to resolve the password fatigue problem by centralising user password management in the cloud.

This LastPass video tutorial was taken from YouTube and was presented by Evan Carmichael. Evan Carmichael believes in entrepreneurs. At 19, he built then sold a biotech software company. At 22, he was a VC helping raise $500k to $15mil. He now runs EvanCarmichael.com, a popular website for entrepreneurs. He breathes and bleeds entrepreneurship.

He also helps brands that sell to small business like Telus and American Express who are frustrated with their online marketing build communities with massive engagement. He guarantees at least 5,000 people to your site with each post that his team will create. Some of the brands he's worked with include: Telus, Microsoft, Google, Blackberry, Trump, etc.

And now, here's the LastPass video tutorial presented to you by your online school, Work From Home Pinoy Ako:

Yes, another online learning from Work From Home Pinoy Ako and "You should always be equipped" is the advise that I can give to new virtual assistants and long time virtual assistants as well. I think it won't hurt having to learn another app that memorizes your usernames and passwords.

Do you know another app that keeps and remembers your usernames and passwords just like Roboform and LastPass? Please write in the comments below.

Smart Way To Make Your Learning Go Twice As Far

Do you know Voltes V? Noong bata pa ako, there are only one or two robots that i know and one was Voltes V. Voltes V was made up of 5 separate volt machines operated by Steve, Big Bert, Little John, Jaime, and Mark.

Gustong gusto kong part was when a Beast Fighter, created by the Boazanians, will attack and fight the Voltes team. Kapag hindi na kaya ng mga bida, the five volt machines will go into a V formation and the team will say... "Let's volt in!"

Kasabay ng background music was the step by step connection and transformation of the five vehicles into one big robot called, Voltes V. Wow ang galing!

Fast forward to the present day. Today there are many robots that I know already, Transformers pa lang ang dami na. But there's this robot in the internet na magtra-transform sa day to day internet activities mo, and this is the Roboform app.

Do This And You No Longer Have To Memorize A Lot Of Usernames And Passwords

Do this and you no longer have to memorize a lot of usernames and passwords

Are you tired of typing your username, password and most of all remembering them every time you log in to so many applications (apps) in the internet such as your emails (like Gmail, Yahoo Mail, Hotmai, etc.l), social media networks (like Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, and Linkedin), and your various accounts for online banking, online shopping, memberships and affiliations to airline companies, hotels, shops, restaurants, and so much more! Kailangan pa bang imemorize yan? Ang dami-dami di ba?

Naalala ko noong araw, ang password lang na dapat mong imemorize ay "open sesame" para bumukas ang pintuan kapag ayaw buksan ng kalaro mo ang pinto. Hehehe...

And then when I was already in high school, the only password that I have to memorize was the one we use in our computer subject, password123 pa ata yon, hahaha... Hindi pa uso ang strong passwords noon, noong panahon pa ng Wordstar at Lotus 123. But the most important things that we memorized in high school were the formulas in algebra, physics, geometry, and trigonometry (yay!). Pagdating ng college, calculus naman, tapos electronics, communications, electromagnetics, thermodynamics, at yung mga pang engineering subjects na hanggang ngayon ay hindi ko naman nagamit even if I worked as a telecommunications engineer.

I also remember when I was applying for a job back then, after I finished typing my resume, I printed lots of copies and then went to the different corporate offices in Makati and in Ortigas like Globe Telecom, Smart Communications, PLDT,  IBM, Digitel, Philcom, etc.

Just like here in Australia, almost all of the establishments and offices here, accepts online applications and it is already a standard.

Today, we are very lucky that there's this app that will help us with the problem of memorizing a lot of usernames and passwords. This app is called Roboform and you will learn it here in your online school, Work From Home Pinoy Ako.

You might ask, why not just activate the Remember my password option? Yes it will help but this usually expires in 2 weeks or in a month. The more vulnerable you are to forgetting your password because you are not used to manually typing your password and then suddenly, when the "remember your password" expires, need to manually key in your password. Gets? Not only that Roboform stores your password, when you click the saved username and password of a particular site that is stored in Roboform, it will bring you to the website and signs you in automatically.

Another great feature of Roboform is to autofill a web form such as your personal information and identification details in membership forms, job applications, etc. This will save you lots of time. All you need to do is to pre-fill all information in Roboform such as your first name, surname, date of birth, home address, home telephone number, mobile phone number, email address, passport number, driver's license number, etc. so when you need to fill up a form with all your personal details, you can do this in a few clicks using Roboform.

So What is Roboform Mang Wiki? Roboform is a password management and web form filling program that automates password entering and form filling. And without further a do, here is the tutorial for How To Use Roboform here in Work From Home Pinoy ako:

I hope may natutunan kayo today dito sa online school mo and if you are a virtual assistant tapos your client starts to give you their own usernames and passwords, it means that you have gained their trust and confidence.

For sure, you will be maintaining lots and lots of their usernames and passwords. So, are you still going to write it on your notebook or type it in Word or Excel? Maybe for backup purposes. But you can impress your client by using Roboform, it's wise to use it as it saves a lot of your time and makes you an efficient, reliable, and organized virtual assistant.

Do you know any other applications that also remembers usernames and passwords and auto fills forms as well? Please use the comment box below.

See What You Think About This Video Tutorial: TinyURL Video Tutorial

Do you think Bitly is the right shortening of URL app for you? If not, then there are other URL shortener apps aside from Bitly and here in Work From Home Pinoy Ako, we know that we have to diversify as we do not know what apps our future clients are using. So we better be prepared always. Ang mga taga Work From Home Pinoy Ako ay parang mga boy scout di ba, laging handa!

Parang nung nagwowork pa ako noon sa isang telecommunications company, we were already experts in the operations and maintenance of an equipment made by Lucent. But our leaders asked us to also know how to operate and maintain mobile equipment made by Nokia, Ericsson, etc. and it paid dividends kasi marami kaming natutunan. Some even had a chance to work abroad because of the additional knowledge that we learned at kasama na ako doon (but that's a different story).

Kaya eto, we need to learn tinyURL through the video tutorial ng friend natin na si Debbie Boyer from YouTube. Debbie Boyer is wholeheartedly passionate about people, learning, technology and life. She makes educational videos with tutorials and directions for using a wide variety of technology and instructional strategies.

tinyURL, according to Mang Wiki is URL shortening service, a web service that provides short aliases for redirection of long URLsKevin Gilbertson, a web developer, launched the service in January 2002 so that he would be able to link directly to newsgroup postings that frequently had long and cumbersome addresses.

So here now is the tinyURL video tutorial presented here in your online school, Work From Home Pinoy Ako:

I hope you learned something from this video tutorial and I also hope this will help you in some way.

Do you know another app that shortens long web addresses? Please write in the comments below.

The Power of Shortening Long Web Addresses: How To Use Bitly

The Power of Shortening Long Web Addresses: How To Use Bitly

Do you like to take shortcuts? Here in Work From Home Pinoy Ako, you will learn that some shortcuts are good, others are not.

I remember when i was still studying math in school, there are different ways to solve math equations or math problems. Merong longcut (long method) or shortcut (short method). More often, we would like to learn how to solve math problems using the short method because it saves us time so that we can quickly and effectively finish an exercise, quiz, or an exam.

During lectures naman, some of us like to take down notes especially when the teacher does not write on the blackboard. Teka, uso pa ba ang blackboard ngayon? Or whiteboard na ang ginagamit?

Sometimes when the teacher talks fast, nahihirapan tayong i-sulat yung mga sinasabi nya. During my time i often hear my classmates saying, "sana marunong akong mag-shorthand para I can capture all that the teacher was saying."

By the way according to Mang Wiki, shorthand is an abbreviated symbolic writing method that increases speed and brevity of writing as compared to a normal method of writing a language. But today, I can image na hindi na kailangan magshorthand especially for us pinoys because we cn do shrthnd evn f we ddnt lern hw 2 do it. We cn jst use d wy we do txt msgg. O di ba? Nabasa mo naman?

Again, it is an advantage when we use shortcuts because it allows us to capture more information and lesser space in our notebooks when the teacher is giving lectures. Another example of making shortcuts is when we travel in a car, taxi, fx, or jeep especially kapag traffic. When you drive, you always want to shorten your travel time to reach your destination faster. Maski ang jeep, kung saan saan lumulusot makaiwas lang sa traffic. Gustong gusto natin yon di ba para hindi tayo ma-late sa school or sa work?

Finally, as a virtual assistant or an aspiring one, we have to learn how to do shortcuts. Some of the shortcuts that we often use are CTRL+Print Sc, to have a screenshot of your computer screen, CTRL+C, to copy a text or an image, CTRL+V, to paste the text or image that you copied, CTRL+S, to save a file that you are working on and a whole lot more. These shortcuts make our work easier and therefore we can finish a lot of work.

Yes, shortcuts can give us advantages like easier solutions to math problems, for easier recording of teacher's lectures, faster arrival at a destination, and can do a lot more when working sa computer. However, not everything is good when doing shortcuts. When you are used to typing shortcut in a text message, the tendency is for you to forget the corect speling of words.

Sometimes when there's traffic, the taxi or fx that you are riding often looks for the way when there's no congestion of roads. Pero minsan sa kakahanap at kakasuot kung saan saan, mas lalo pang natatraffic! Another example is when you are an athlete, or you play for a basketball team, for example, then you shorten your training. Syempre hindi maganda iyon and you will not be able to reach your full potential. If kulang naman ang practice ng team then most likely you will lose a lot of games.

Like what i said before, if you are a virtual assistant or an aspiring virtual assistant, you should learn how to do shortcuts in using commands in the computer, not shortcuts in the way you educate yourself. Use shortcuts in a positive way. And there's this app that is very useful for your learning when it comes to shortcuts sa internet and this is Bitly.

What is this software apps called Bitly? According to Mang Wiki, Bitly is a URL shortening service. Bitly shortens more than one billion links per month, for use in social networking, SMS, and email. The Bitly URL shortening service became popular on Twitter after it became the default URL shortening service on the website on may 6, 2009. In addition to its main URL shortening service, the website provides tools to view statistics related to users that click on generated links. This is a very important tool because you will know who are clicking your links and if your links are effective or not.

And now, the power of shortening links is presented here in your online school, Work From Home Pinoy Ako in a form of a PDF tutorial below:

Now that you know how to use Bitly, I hope as a future virtual assistant or as a learning virtual assistant, you will be able to shorten a long URL effectively, use it in Twitter to save on the character limit per Twitter message, use it also in blog posts to monitor the clicks of each URL that your client has, show them what links are effective or not.

Do you know any shortcuts that gives advantage? Disadvantage? Do you know any other URL shortening apps? Please write in the comments below.
